Picking up where the last film left off, “Assassinator 2″ aims to up the ante in every conceivable way. Originally written to be more cerebral and plot driven than “The Assassinator” it boasts much more quality action. The sequel is feature length, with far more comedy, greater acting performances, more impressive special effects, and generally higher production values than the original.

“Assassinator 2″ cost only about £30 to make and yet uses up-to-date action sequence special effects, including wire-work and green-screening. It features a cast of almost fifty actors, including former members of sketch comedy group: “The Durham Revue” (Edinburgh Fringe Festival regulars).

The film also stars several high-profile celebrity cameo appearances, including author Bill Bryson and cast-members of the ‘Star Trek’ television series (ranging all the way from Walter Koenig of the Original Captain Kirk-era cast, to “The Next Generation” star Marina Sirtis, to Robert Picardo of “Star Trek Voyager”).
